JANET, Immaculate Heart Community
Now in her eighties, Janet Barber, has always considered herself a seeker. First a Quaker, then a Catholic, she was disowned by her family when she entered the IHC order back in her twenties, and was not invited back to see her mother again until she was on her deathbed. She went on to become a multi-lingual teacher of numerous subjects, and is thought of as one of America’s foremost experts on the Virgin of Guadalupe.
