CHALLAH, Beit T’Shuvah

Beit T’Shuvah treats alcohol, drug, sex, and gambling addicts. As such they are not eligible for state or federal aid, and raise all their operating funds privately. Its 115 bed facility over the course of any given year is home to more 170 addicts in various stages of recovery. Every Friday evening their doors open to welcome Shabbat and the community at large, inviting them to share in the breaking of the traditional challah bread.
